How to make Goo, Slime Recipe (Easy) Craft for Kids
There are a lot of recipes out there for flubber, goo, slime or whatever you may choose to call this substance, but this is my favorite. It is simple, quick and fun to do. It does involve borax so make sure you are not making it with a young child who may want to taste it. I made this with my kids the other night and they loved it, so I thought I would share it here with you.
You will need:
1/3 cup water
3 Tablespoons of borax (laundry booster)
2 cups of water
2 cups of white school glue
Food Coloring
Add 1/3 cup water to a bowl then add the borax and stir until dissolved. Next add the food coloring (2 to 3 squirts) and set aside. In another bowl add 2 cups of water and the 2 cups of school glue and stir until thoroughly mixed. Add the borax mix to the glue mix. Next you will knead with your hands for approximately 5 minutes or until the water is completely absorbed. You will be able to tell when it is the right consistency.
Now have fun. Shape it, mold it, squish it, stretch it and it will always go back to it's original form. It should be stored in a sealed container or ziploc bag in the refrigerator and should last for at least a couple of weeks. My kids are still having fun with the batch they made.
Enjoy!
